Our alliance members are continually looking for qualified point leaders to start new churches. We have immediate openings. Because of the importance of the lead person and the magnitude of resources entrusted to their care (often well over $100,000), the selection of the right planter is vital. Our alliance members collectively enjoy a 90+% success rate in planting largely because of their diligence in selecting planters and the disciplined support systems available to these planters. All alliance members insist on formal assessment of planters, training, ongoing coaching, some form of project management / planning support and adequate funding resources. These processes are focused on getting the right person in the right place with the right plan and then adequately resourcing the plant.
Planter Selection Process
If you are interested in applying for a position with any of our alliance members, be prepared for a rigorous selection process (it is not for the faint of heart...but the rewards are great). The basic steps include taking a pre-assessment via Church Planter Profiles, undergoing a series of phone interviews, submitting to a background check via Secure Search (or equivalent company) and reference checks, attending a multi-day assessment center with your spouse, and then completing a face-to-face interview.
Pre-Assessment
The first step in the journey begins with taking a pre-assessment via Church Planter Profiles.
This online assessment is one of the most comprehensive available and has proven to be a solid indicator of a leader's capacity to plant and lead a high-impact, growing church.
The assessment includes two parts. The first part is a free initial screening and can be completed in 30 minutes. The second part includes several different instruments, costs $79, and requires several hours to complete. You will receive a detailed feedback report with recommendations.
Getting Started
Regardless of the organization you ultimately partner with, the Church Planter Profiles assessment is worth taking. Simply:
1. Go to Church Planter Profiles
2. Click on the link to create a free account. When signing up, you will be asked to select a sponsoring organization from a pull-down menu. If you select Exponential Network, we will automatically receive a copy of your report for review.
3. Take the initial screening exam that is free and takes about 30 minutes
4. Based satisfactory results in the initial screening, continue to the more comprehensive fee based screening ($79). This part of the screening requires up to four hours but does not need to be completed all at once.
5. If your results recommend that you proceed with pursuing a church plant, we look forward to talking with you about planting with our alliance members and will consider a phone interview based on your results.
