The Opportunity
A growing number of people are wrestling with the success to significance journey (Significance Seekers) and are looking for ways to engage in meaningful Kingdom work. Many of these leaders have the time margin and / or financial resources AND the talent to significantly add value to the mission of the Exponential Network. For the church to be all that Jesus plans for it to be and for us to see a renewal take place, these leaders will need to increasingly engage in new church work.
We seek to attract, inspire, and release a growing number of Significance Seekers to join us in this work. We believe church planting offers the most leveraged and entrepreneurial way to engage in Kingdom work. We further believe that the Exponential Network represents the best in class opportunity for engagement through a growing portfolio of best in class networks and high-impact church plants. Analogous to a top performing mutual fund with a portfolio consisting of only the best performing stocks, the Exponential Network offers a one-stop point of connection into leveraged opportunities for Kingdom impact.
The Exponential Network and its alliance members have an expanding number of meaningful ways for leaders to engage their time talent and treasure in planting. Many Significance Seekers will be surprised to learn of the broad range of ways they can engage to make a profound impact in the lives of thousands of people through church planting.
We seek to engage these leaders at the national level in roles such as strategic partnerships, networking, development, fundraising, marketing and promotion. We also seek to engage these leaders directly with our alliance networks to serve in similar capacities. Finally, we seek to engage these leaders directly with church planters to help our new church plants establish healthy infrastructure, systems, and DNA. These church planters are full of vision and energy but often lack the life experiences and organizational expertise that Significance Seekers are looking to engage in meaningful ways. We seek to create the platform and mechanisms for connecting these leaders for impact.
We also seek to champion Business as Mission and Business for Mission initiatives as a way for Significance Seekers to engage in supporting church planting.
Engagement Opportunities
The following are examples of initiatives being considered for implementation within the Kingdom Multipliers Group. We seek to create a platform and environment where virtually any Significance Seeker can engage their time, talents and treasures in meaningful ways to serve the Kingdom through church planting:
- Using one's business sector expertise to help advance the influence and impact of church planting through Exponential and our Alliance member networks in areas such as marketing, development, fundraising, networking, strategic partnerships, strategic planning, graphic design, leadership development, facilities, coaching, governance, etc.
- Building strategic partnerships / relationships between Exponential and other national ministries that serve Significance Seekers to help design and implement a growing number of "on ramps" for these leaders to engage in church planting. Serving as champions and "ambassadors" between Exponential and these ministries
- Working with Alliance Networks to sponsor international trips aimed at helping Significance Seekers discover their calling and find meaningful ways to engage in international church planting initiatives
- Serving as "recruiters" to help connect other Significance Seekers into church planting
- Serving as a strategic / business mentor to church planters (like a "big brother" program)
- Implementing Halftime / Success to Significance programs / values into our new high-impact churches. Coming alongside founding Pastors to implement a "release" approach into the core DNA of a new church and then championing the Halftime programs in the church
Implementing Business for Mission and Business as Mission approaches as a means for supporting church planting.
