High-Impact Church Plants

How do we define "high impact" church planting?

  • Results and Outcomes (Discipleship and Life Change)

    • Making disciples (winning new converts) rather than reshuffling the deck with transfer membership
    • Life change is rampant
    • Externally focused with a priority to impact beyond the walls of the church
    • For more attractional models where the financial investment is significant, high-impact is measured by launching with over 150 people (compared with most plants that launch with 40 – 50 people and struggle to ever break 100).  Incarnational methods are measured primarily by conversions and life change.
  • Financial Viability and Sustainability

    • 90+% survival rate with health, momentum and growth
    • Financial self-sufficiency quicker than the average plant
  • Reproducing and Multiplying (Scale and Leverage)

    • DNA of reproducing leaders, sites, and churches and tend to be more reproducing
    • High-impact plants value releasing people to the Kingdom as much as they value catching people for the Kingdom
